How It Started
Ollie is a start-up electric scooter company that aims to bring adults more child-like happiness. They recognize that scooters are not necessarily the most practical form of public transportation, but they believe that they certainly are the most enjoyable.
Enjoying The Process
The foundation of the brand is childlike happiness and wonder. The challenge was to package this magic and joy in a way that was matured and enticing to adults as well.
The Ollie logo mark is comprised of simple geometric shapes that when combined, spell out the word Ollie. These shapes further amplify the childlike and playful nature of the brand due to their resemblance of a child’s toy blocks.
The colors of the brand were also strategically chosen to portray happiness and bring energy to the overall brand.
Mobile App Design
When broken down, all four of these shapes were used as the brand’s guiding visual language. They were placed to create exciting patterns as well as made into icons showcasing the battery life of the scooters when seen on the Ollie mobile app.
The End Result
The final Ollie product was fun yet sophisticated. The ever changing patterns created a uniquely recognizable brand that both inspired and delighted users.
