OCD Awareness Campaign
About the project

The purpose of this campaign was to bring clarity to a mental disorder that is so often misconstrued and falsely represented by the media; Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. The items were created not only to inform, but to visually display the inner workings of someone with this disorder.

Due to the disorder’s dependency on words, the entire campaign relies heavily upon typography to showcase the raw thoughts and feelings of OCD. The words are repeated heavily in each piece to reference the constant repetition of thoughts that OCD creates within a person’s mind. When it comes to color, black and white are vital, as they illustrate the harsh struggle of an OCD reality that is held by a strict right/wrong paradigm.
